Spooner Summit Hwy 50 Southbound to Road 1

 Note:

The gates to Genoa Road are closed I don't know enough about the area to know if these are permanent closures or they are seasonal gates that get opened later.  I'm hoping they are seasonal because I already have to backpack more than I want to.

This trail starts at a picnic area on the H-T (Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest).

The trail steeply climbs for the entire distance of this hike.

As the trail nears the top of the ridge it becomes more gradual.

At last the trail opens up to some views.

The trail continues on until it reaches the first road crossing.
