Brockway Summit Westbound (not the most boring trail in the world!)

Fiberboard Freeway (Forest Hwy 74) was closed due to snow in the Watson Lake area so trails consecutive to earlier hikes were unavailable.  So I hike the next section available at Brockway Summit.
I start at the only and very small parking lot just south of Brockway Summit.
The trail first parallels 274 then FH74, eventually crossing it.

Near the top of the Tahoe rim the trail opens up some views.

Moss covered trees can be seen as the trail reapproaches FH74.  Again it crosses it.

The trail begins a long descent hopefully to avoid the snow.

The trail approaches what becomes more and more meadowy areas as it approaches a creek.

Just before a creek the first snow patch is seen.
The creek which runs through a true meadow is crossed by the trail.

Once on the other side of the creek the trail is going up a north facing slope and snow becomes too thick to hike further.
TRT Trail miles hiked (this trail): 3.1 miles
Total TRT Trail miles hiked: 13.9 miles
TRT Trail completed: 8.4%
