Return to Kingsbury Summit

Daggett Loop Trail Jct Northbound to Saddle

Over a week ago I hiked the TRT from Andria Drive Access Trail Jct to a saddle with a unique layered rock formation.  Here is where I connect up to it.

I start at the Daggett Loop Trail Jct.  The trail descends from here to a creek where the trail briefly follows a road then leaves it.

The trail then climbs steeply and passes an interesting trail marker.

The trail crosses another road and continues to climb steeply to a vista point.

The trail climbs one final time and reaches the saddle I made it to the last time.

Daggett Loop Trail Jct. to Stagecoach Trailhead Jct.

Once again start at Daggett Loop Trail Jct.
The trail descends, crosses the highway and then follows Benjamin Drive shortly, then parallels and then merges with an unpaved closed forest service road.

The trail follows it for almost a half mile.  When it finally leaves it to the right side of the road, it is the beginning of a long series of steep switchbacks to climb up to the Van Sickle Connector Trailhead.  There are two vistas on this portion of the trail.

From the Van Sickle Connector Trail Jct. the trail stays at the same elevation but is comprised of a series of ups and downs as it traverses the ski slopes of Heavenly Ski Area.

As you can see in the last picture I make it to the trailhead connector of Kingsbury South Trailhead (Stagecoach Parking Area).
TRT miles (this hike): 4.9 mi
TRT miles (total): 27.4mi
TRT percentage completed: 16.6%

I will try to get the third post up late tonight.
