Brockway Summit towards Martis Peak

Note: 

The gate for Fiberboard Freeway (FH74) is now open and the road is open to end of pavement.  However there was still too much snow to attempt Painted Rock or Watson Lake sections of the trail on the day before I left.

This section of trail is nothing but steep switchbacks.

After the picnic rock vista junction the trail levels off before crossing an unpaved forest service road.

The trail resumes climbing and after crossing a caterpillar road descends towards a creek.

Within sight of the creek the snow becomes too difficult to follow the trail so I turn around.
